“Hey there! Are you looking to figure out how to add a logo to your brand page in BigCommerce? In this video, I’m going to show you exactly how to do that.
Before we get started, my name is Cal. I’m a developer and a store owner just like you. Let me share my screen, and I’ll show you where to do this.
(00:18)
Okay, so what we’re talking about here specifically is the brand page. Now, some people confuse actual brand pages in BigCommerce with categories that are named after brands. But what I’m talking about is specifically the brand pages—these are a different type of page from a category page, but very similar.
(00:32)
On your product page, BigCommerce gives you the ability to list the brand name for a product. For example, this ‘Epic Design Labs’ branded sponge or filter kit. By default, it makes this clickable, and when you click it, it takes you to the brand page for that brand—the ‘Epic Design Labs’ brand of filters (which, by the way, is not a real brand of filters, it’s just my company).
But as you can see, this is the actual brand page in BigCommerce. It shows the brand name in text, but it doesn’t give us the brand logo.
(01:12)
We’re looking at the Roots theme, but this should work on almost any theme, including Cornerstone, which is the base theme for BigCommerce. Let me show you where to add the logo.
(01:23)
If we go into the backend of BigCommerce, we head to the Products section. You can see options like product categories, options, filtering, reviews, and brands. So, click on Brands, and you’ll see a list of all the brands you’ve created.
(01:41)
Every time you create a new product with a brand that hasn’t been created previously, BigCommerce automatically creates this brand for you, which is really nice.
Now, to add the brand image, click into the brand you want to edit. You’ll see fields for meta keywords, meta title, description, and so on. Then, you’ll find a field for the Brand Image.
(02:14)
To add the image, just select the image file you want to use. I’m going to choose this image right here and click Save. This will upload and attach the image to the brand.
(02:30)
Now, if we go back to the brand page (which I’ve left open in another tab) and refresh it—Boom! There’s our logo!
(02:40)
You might initially think, “I want to remove the text,” but keep in mind that this text here is your H1 for the page, which is good for SEO. So I recommend leaving the text on the page and just adding the logo.
(02:51)
You can build out the page further if you want, but for the purpose of this video, that’s how you add your logo to the brand page. I hope that helps you guys out!
